During the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 film and television applications in Romania showed diverse performance metrics across downloads, revenue, and active users, as observed from Sensor Tower data.

HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies experienced a significant surge in weekly downloads, starting from 15.3K in late February and peaking at 120K in the first week of March. Although downloads saw a gradual decline to 60.6K by the end of March, the app's weekly revenue peaked at $16.6K in early March, before stabilizing between $6.9K and $8.2K in the following weeks. Active users also increased steadily, reaching 124K by the end of March.

Netflix maintained a consistent performance with weekly downloads ranging from 13.7K to 37.9K throughout the quarter. Revenue fluctuated, peaking at $13.7K at the end of February and then gradually decreasing to $7.2K by the end of March.
